THE NOTEBOOK. When your Time Out begins, please take a few minutes to browse through the big blue notebook on the coffee table. We’ve given lots of extra tidbits about the house that you only need to know once you’re there. You’ll also find restaurant menus, directions to great hiking spots, and whatever else we think would be helpful for your stay.
WHERE IS THE CLOSEST…?
- CVS – in Columbus – approx. 2 miles (there’s a Red Box there, too)
- Bi-Lo in Landrum & Food Lion – also in Columbus – approx. 2 miles
- Aldi, Walmart & other stores – in Hendersonville – approx. 17 miles
- Biltmore Estates – in Asheville – approx. 45mi.
PARKING. Due to driveways from 2 separate roads, there is plenty of parking. If you’re traveling with an RV, boat, or trailer, no worries! Those things will be easily accommodated with no roadside parking needed.
CHILDREN. Families are welcome! Our home is child-friendly, but not necessarily child-proof. If you choose to bring your kiddos to Time Out, you’ll want to keep an extra eye open in regard to safety. We also ask that you set high expectations for your children and help them understand they are in someone else’s home and need to respect the home contents and property.
WIRELESS INTERNET. You’ll have access to wireless internet and will be given a passcode closer to your arrival date. If you choose to have a completely disconnected Time Out for yourself, kids or entire family, just let us know and we’ll keep the code to ourselves!
PETS CONSIDERED. Guests may pay the $125 pet fee for approved furry friends who are well-trained.
SMOKING NOT ALLOWED. Absolutely no smoking of cigarettes, cigars, or pipes should happen in the house. The Mrs. is highly sensitive and allergic. Smoking on the deck and in the yard is fine if that is necessary for you during your Time Out.
PHONES. Depending on your cell phone carrier, you may or may not have great service in the house. A landline with free U.S. long-distance calling is provided for your convenience.
RENTER’S AGE. The renter must be 21 or older. No exceptions.
